As you people know,world cup is just around the corner. It kicks-off 9 June 2006 in the Allianz Arena, Munich. There will be alot of countries competing against each other. The country that i am supporting would be England. England striker Wayne Rooney is to undergo a scan on 25 May which could determine whether he is fit to play at the World Cup. Despite suffering from a broken foot, Wayne Rooney, the striker of the team England will still be included in the team. Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is considering using Liverpool's Steven Gerrard as an auxilliary striker if Rooney fails to recover in time. My favourtie player for the team would be Frank Lampard, the midfielder for the team. David Beckham and Michael Owen used to be his idol but now he has got the opportunity to play with them and be as famous as them. David Beckham, the captain for the team has made Lampard to take part in the penalty kicks. Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has add in another new young player, Theo Walcott into the team. He is known as the youngest player for the national team. He is only 17 this year and yet he is being given the chance to be part of the game. The latest album that just came out is Angels and Airwaves.The leader Thomas DeLonge who was once from Blink 182 a rock band.Now he is an alternative band. What he wants people feel on his album is this with his new band. How the name came about? well one of their friend was inviolved in a car accident. When they arrived at the scene, the radio was still playing. They joke around saying there was an angel in the airwaves protecting it. In honour and respect of their friend hence the name Angels and Airawaves.
Thomas DeLonge playz as vocals and guitar. Atom willard is at drums shaking our atoms when we listen to his solo. David kennedy as guitar also. and Ryan Sinn as basist. This band will rock you. Trust me. Visit their official website at www.angelsandairwaves.com.

He wants people to be moved by his music it is more emotional than nonsensical in Blink 182. Give them a chance. Just relax lie down comfortably in a dim-lit put on your headphone and give the album around 1 hour. You will like it. I have already bought it. The album came out yesterday 21/5/06. A great album. Hey! The holiday are coming in a weeks time and I am definitely sure that you will either be spending your time at home or outside with your friends and family. If you are stuck at home and you have got nothing better to do, why not sit in front of your TV and tune in to Channel 5 because there are a lot of programmes laid out for you!

For example, the debuts of ABC DJ that is the new comedy on Channel 5 will be on the 23rd of May, Tuesday, at 8.30 pm. The story is about an American-born Chinese boy is sent to Singapore to live with a conservative Chinese family. It spells one thing: M-A-Y-H-E-M! However, tricked by his father, Master Zhang, a rich, spoilt and almost-worthless Americanised Chinese, Dong "DJ" Jin (Korean dream-dish Eugene Lee) arrives in Singapore thinking it is a holiday vacation. But to his disbelief, it is his father’s ploy to make him to stay for two whole years under the roof of his most trusted sinseh pupil, Goh that is acted by Liu Qianyi. There, he has to learn to be a ‘good Chinese boy’ to much hilarious effect. But now, how will this Americanised guy survive this sunny notion of hell? This 13-episode comedy series uncovers DJ’s quirky observations of Singapore and his bewildered interaction with all things Singaporean and particularly with his surrogate family, the Gohs. Goh, who is a traditionalistis stunned with the sudden addition in his family but decided to take DJ in as an act of dutiful respect for Master Zhang to tame DJ's wild spirit.

Technology&Entertainment The latest gadget that would be hot among the people would be the Sony PSP.Not only does it serve as a gaming console but it also allows people to view photos,videos and many more interesting features. VidoesVideos look amazing on the widescreen. The picture is sharp and detailed and colors are vibrant. While it is fine to hold when playing games or watching short clips, it gets a bit tiresome if you are watching a long show to just hold in your hands.Examples of videos: Memory stick pro duoThe Sony PSP alone will make the Memory Stick Duo (Pro Duo) a viable format, as the PSP does not take any of the older Memory Stick formats nor the Memory Stick Pro. It is another day in school. The exams are over and we are all shaking our legs doing nothing in class. How I wish the holidays were already here. Just 1 more week! I cannot wait to catch up with my primary school friends in town again! It has already been 3 years since we last met. I wonder how much each of them has changed over the years.

Well, here’s what we plan to do. We plan to book a chalet and hold a class gathering-cum reunion! Together with BBQs and late nights, we will definitely just soak in the sun and enjoy one another’s company. How awesome is it not? I guess the primary school times were the best times of my life. I still remember that during the holidays we just used to hang around at a mall just chatting the day away. We were just contented to have each other around and after all, we were young then. Now in secondary school, friends do not find the time to hang out with each other anymore, everyone is just occupied with his or her activities.

First I will get my mother to book a chalet for us at Downtown East. Along with that, I will ring up some of my friends and invite them to this party or rather gathering held the next month of June. And together will them; we will plan out different things and programs. For example, the groups would be divided into teams, each in charge of a certain area. E.g. I could be in charge of the food and drinks, whereas the rest could plan for the games and other events. Organization will be the key to success for the chalet!

Well, I guess all that starts well ends well. Though the day is pretty boring today, life goes on. Let’s just fix our eyes on the holidays! Cheers!

Bored about how to spend your holidays?

Not anymore! For me, I plan to brighten my days by watching a movie that I find interesting on the net. That is the “Cars” that will be in town in the beginning of June.

“Car” is about : A hotshot rookie race car, Lightning McQueen , driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. On route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town’s offbeat characters –including Sally (a snazzy 2002 Porsche voiced by BONNIE HUNT), Doc Hudson (a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past, voiced by PAUL NEWMAN), and Mater (a rusty but trusty tow truck voiced by LARRY THE CABLE GUY) – who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship.

To conclude, “Car” is an animation movie that suits all ages and it is full of fun and the most important thing is that there is an important moral in this movie. I will definitely catch this movie on 8 June 2006 as there will be something for me to learn this holiday!!

The holidays are almost here. Thinking of something to do? Here are some upcoming movies that I found on the net that can occupy the whole holiday. For examples are: Superman returns, Pirates of Caribbean: dead man chest, The Omen, Cars and The Break-up.

Here is a preview of the movie “Superman returns” I found on the net.

Preview: After a mysterious absence, Superman (Brandon Routh) returns to Earth only to find that his beloved Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth) has moved on with her life. Meanwhile, the Man of Steel's nemesis, Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey), is ready to hatch a plot that will render Superman powerless forever.
In overall this movie is about adventure and fantasy. There is some violence in the movie so it is rated PG-13 and therefore, for those who are under 13 and are thinking to watch, please bring someone older than you with you as to avoid misunderstanding events from the movie and you learn it!

Maybe I will watch the movie with my friends as we like adventure and “Superman” is always the movie that we are always looking forward to. Oh, by the way it starts at June 30, 2006 so remember to catch “Superman returns” on screen!!!!!!!!

Holidays come and go, but we will never forget those memories. In my case, I will never forget the holidays spent while traveling. Well, actually I will never forget the delicious food I eat and taste. Since most people including me travel to Malaysia during the holidays, why do I not give you some great tips to delicious food you can find in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?
If you must know, chicken rice is a must have for my family members and I each time we travel to Malaysia. Well, I guess I have just given you a huge hint on what the main dish is, so let us begin on our journey of great food in foreign land.
Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng, if translated means Chee Meng Hainanese Chicken Rice. This is the name of the chicken rice shop that serves such delicious food, that I simply cannot resist. The other thing that I love about it is that it is cheap.
The roots of the stall were traced out from 1965, when it began as a small hawker stall serving chicken porridge, ran by a couple. It was actually known as Chee Meng Kai Fun. According to my resources, this is a family business with the couple being great grand parents.
It was officially registered in 1988, as Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng Bukit Bintang. After an overwhelming response to their first restaurant, they opened up another branch and this continued on until they now have 3 branches and one main restaurant.
Some of their dishes are really amazing, my favourite being the roasted chicken rice. Other than the main dish of chicken rice, their popular dishes include Thai Style Mango Salad, Thai Style Chicken Feet, Sambal Prawn, Sambal Squid and Fried Dumpling.

The movie review I do is doom.
This show is a fantastic show as the ploy was clever and full of suspend. This show is about six scientists doing a research on planet mar. However some blizzard thing happened there. all of the scientists suddenly gone missing . Therefore the young and promising ‘anti-monster’ force went to the mar. They uses the bubble to reach mar is a matter of a second. The graphic were fantastic and the weapons they use were great.
Those several young man went to explore the lab and started a great journey of slaying the monster.
Although they meet a lot of difficulties while attempting to slay the monster, however their never say die spirit is worth to be learn. To their surprise the scientists become the gruesome monster and the ‘anti-monster’ force tries very hard to find out the reason.
Finally the ‘anti-monster’ force find out the reason why those scientist become monster.
They found the video of what the scientist does during the experiment to create ‘superhuman’. The whole experiment gone haywire and the ‘guinea pig ‘mutated to become a powerful monster. Whenever the monster bites the victim, the victim will become a monster itself. Due to the downfall of the ‘anti-monster’ force, more and more people become the monster.
Out of desperation, one of the team members (john) decided to take a risk. He injected the medicine which is use to create the superhuman into his own body. The lady luck was smiling at him, the team member successfully becoming into a superhuman. The leader of the ‘anti-monster’ force was bitten, hence becoming a powerful member. John fought with the leader. Eventually the john wins it.

Random thought of my holidays

When holidays finally descended, everyone will often to like to plan for a holidays trip for themselves but not all have a special place in mind. Holidays planning may seemed troublesome as times are needed to plan for a perfect holiday.. so here are some ideas which I think may interest all of you, and definitely, a place which I would like to visit:
During holiday, everyone would normally go aboard to travel and ease their mind.. Hawaii would be a suitable place for all… as we know, hawaii is well known for its nice scenery…and do you know what? Hawaii is actually made up of lots of volcanoes lava.. The larva cools down ad harden as times passes.. and therefore forms a small island.. I would definitely be interested in looking at the special land and the sand of Hawaii. How I wished I was right there bathing in the warm sun right now!
If you prefer otherwise, its time to crack your brain… hong kong can also be nice place for tourist… you can have your whole days playing , having fun and shopping… the food there are far too delicious.. Hong kong is well known for their delicious food.. Just imagine their dim sums, it definitely make my mouth drools.. Seriously, I hoped to visit Hong kong… if I had to capability!

Thoughts
Holidays are just the perfect time for gaming and relaxation.There are so many unorganized thoughts, left unattended for the past few days, in my mind. For example, LAN also known as local area network, where I like to spend some of my holiday time there. Some may ask: “ what do we do at the LAN shop?” and the reasons are simple: we often called our friends out in a big group and play together. This helped in strengthening our friendship bond and we often can compare our skills and improve our gaming skills. One of the most popular games that I want to mention is Warcraft. Gaming is definitely one of the “out-of-school” experience that we will not learn in school. Many will find it relaxing and a good pastime. So, why not pick up an online game and get engrossed in it? Who knows, you might get to know some new friends online while holidaying!

Reggae is a genre music which is not really known among people. But nowadays, it has made a comeback. Artistes such as Sean Paul, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar are some of the singers who has made a comeback for the genre, reggae. It has now been the favourites among teenagers nowadays.

Reggae is divided into different types. Ska and Rasta are one of the famous ones.

Reggae is the heartbeat of Jamaica - a brand of music as strongly identified with the island as R&B is with Detroit or jazz with New Orleans. It's a major factor in the Jamaican economy, at no time better demonstrated than during Reggae Sunsplash and Reggae Sumfest (enormous annual reggae festivals), when almost one-quarter million visitors arrive from overseas to dance and sway in delirious union to the soulful, syncopated beat on the tiny island.

Reggae evolved in the ghettos of Kingston, Jamaica, born of the tensions and social protest simmering violently in the late 1960's. Jamaicans will tell you that reggae means "coming from de people," a phrase coined (as was the name reggae itself) by Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals who performed at the first Renegade Festival last year. They will also tell you that reggae is about "truth and rights." The music expresses a yearning for respect, self-identity, and affirmation amid poverty. Its lyrics are distinct in their political, social, and religious messages full of metaphor, and praise of Jah (God). Reggae is distinguished by it's beat called One Drop which has the emphasis on the second beat.

The latest album that just came out is Angels and Airwaves.
The leader Thomas DeLonge who was once from Blink 182 a rock band.Now he is an alternative band. What he wants people to feel on his album is this with his new band. How the name came about? well one of their friend was involved in a car accident. When they arrived at the scene, the radio was still playing. They joked around saying there was an angel in the airwaves protecting it. In honour and respect for their friend hence the name Angels and Airawaves.

Thomas DeLonge playz as vocals and guitar. Atom willard is at drums shaking our atoms when we listen to his solo. David kennedy as guitar also. and Ryan Sinn as basist. This band will rock you. Trust me. Visit their official website at www.angelsandairwaves.com.

He wants people to be moved by his music it is more emotional than the nonsensical Blink 182. Give them a chance. Just relax lie down comfortably in a dim-lit room, put on your headphones and give the album around an hour. You will like it. I have already bought it. The album came out yesterday 21/5/06. I think that one of my most memorable holidays would simply be a trip to Malaysia. It started with my band leader calling me and a few others to do a little performance at our next door neighbour, Malaysia. Our mini gig was scheduled to be at 3pm so we had a lot of time to make our way to Malaysia. Reflecting on this, we should have not delayed but made our way there sooner as it was the Labour Day weekend. As we arrived at the Causeway checkpoint at Woodlands, to our horrors, the whole entire queue on the Malaysia was crowded. A conservative estimate of people would easily cross the thousand mark. Imagine with me for a moment. You are stuck in this room with no air-con and not even fans. There are literally hundreds of people together with you and everyone is hot and sticky. Everyone is fanning themselves crazy and we likened our experience to that of a spa… without the sweat and frustration. This was a made worse by a few inconsiderate people who sought to cut queue and well, got the whole crowd to shout and scream. Wah lao!Basket!
After what seem like eternity, we made through the customs and we proceed to have an “instant” lunch as we were stuck for and hour and a half at the customs, leaving us with only 1 hour to reach the place and set up. As we reached the place, band morale was not peak but we managed to lift each other with jokes and pranks along the way. One particular comment I remembered was made by my bassist: “WE LOVE YOU PAP AND LEE KUAN YEW! WE WILL VOTE FOR YOU IN THE ELECTION”. The difference in landscape and especially at the customs taught us how blessed and fortunate we are in Singapore. The mini gig was a great one. The host received us with great warmth and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously by performing for them and then getting to interact with them. The entire gig went without a single hitch as the songs were familiar and we only needed one run through.
Dinnertime came. The hosts took us to a very nice café for dinner and we had to control our hunger as we felt bad about the hosts not going Dutch. Nevertheless we had a great dinner together and through the sharing we found out flaws which we could improve on.
At the end of the day, it was time for shopping. We went around and somehow, we landed in a bookshop! The Malaysians looked at us in surprise as 5 Singaporeans carrying guitars and effects bag walked around. Looks like the band scene is not very popular with many people although the Malaysian bands are generally quite good.
At about 10pm, we were ready to go home when we saw the customs. Vulgarities began to spice our language and middle fingers could be seen. The entire causeway was literally flooded with people. In the end, we end up hunting a hotel in JB. Imagine 5 Singaporeans with only 1 adult, seaching for a hotel in an unknown land. All the decent looking ones were fully booked and the only left were either sleazy looking or run down.BASKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the end, we went to one hotel to ask for a map of JB. A THOUSAND THANKS. Some dude had just booked out so WE HAD A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT!.
We went out at 12am, searching for clothes and food. In the end we ended up in the hotel back at 2am as we were pulled towards a gig that was playing a few blocks away. We ended up headbanging when we should have been sleeping.
The next morning, we woke up like 6am so we could reach the comforts of Singapore,
When we reached the Singapore side, I kissed the floor as suddenly, I LOVED SINGAPORE SO SO SO MUCH! THANK YOU SO MUCH MY GAHMEN! THANK YOU SO MUCH GOHFATHER! THANK YOU SO MUCH PAP! THANK YOU SO MUCH PM LEE!!!!!

The trip to Sentosa
We organized this trip so as to bond each and everyone of us together. Although not many people went together, it was a fun time. The people that went there were MrFoo, JennShunn, JunJie, Amirah, Ana, Jasmine, YuTing, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Eric, Sharon, Peter and me.

Even if there are people from other classes, we bonded with each other by playing ball games. Actually, none of us brought a volleyball. But, we bought a ball with our own money and we had truckloads of fun. We did not stay there for a long time, we just played, enjoyed and settled our lunch there. We spent so much that we had to even find money to eat dinner. We continued to hang around to chat.

It was near night. All of us left Sentosa and the boys went to the arcade to enjoy more. After a few hours, everyone of us were so tired that we went home and sleep and also to dream about the trip. I think we were all very happy after this event and will think of organizing such an event again soon especially after exams.
